About Ford's Guide Service

Ford’s Guide Service was established in 1995 by Chris Ford. He started with bear hunters and has grown to include, fishing, dear hunting, island transport and tours. He has always believed in giving clients first class high quality experience at a fair price. Having grown up in a resort family he has hunted, trapped, and fished his whole life. He spent five years as a professional trapper and has been a full-time guide and outfitter for the last 12 years.

Having worked at various resorts on the Rainy River and Bostick Creek area of Lake of the Woods he has come to realize that some things that are being done are not in the best interest of the client. So he decided to in 2006 to go independent with fishing. He will strive to give you the best quality and service possible while keeping you comfortable and safe. We treat you the way you want to be treated. And Ford's Guide Service motto…Helping people have fun and create memories is something that we take very personal.
